- Notice of Intent for Sole Source Award for Maintenance and Repair service from Varian Medical Systems, Inc. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific (Joint Base Lewis-McChord Health Contracting Cell), Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Varian Medical SyStems, Inc. for a base period in the estimated amount of $65,759.00 to purchase Maintenance and Repair service. Varian Medical Systems, Inc. is the manufacturer and has proprietary rights. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capabilities and specifications. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist, MSG Neal Hurst neal.hurst2.mil@mail.mil. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
