- This announcement seeks information from industry which will be used to identify potential offerors for market research purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this announcement. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The purpose of this source sought is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among potential pool of responsible contractors. Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought announcement. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Europe Africa Central (NAVFAC EURAFCENT), Naples, Italy anticipates soliciting and awarding an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Job Order Contract (JOC) for construction services in the Sicily, Italy. The work contemplated will consist primarily of renovation; repair; maintenance; replacement; alteration; demolition; and NAVFAC construction category II, III, and IV tasks. This contract will replace a contract for similar services awarded in FY2013 with a maximum value of $15,000,000.00. If an award is made for this effort, the contract period of performance is anticipated to consist of a 12-month base period and four (4) potential 12-month option periods for a maximum of 60 months, or a total maximum value between $15,000,000 and $25,000,000.00 (to be determined at a later date). The scope of work is anticipated to encompass a wide variety of minor construction and repair tasks to provide real property repair and maintenance to include, but not limited to, the following areas: - General Contractor Services (i.e. road repair; pavement repair; building renovation; roofing; excavation; emergency repairs; providing new finishes on the interior of buildings; water line and gas line construction and repair; all utility repairs including sanitary sewer and storm drainage; and all fire protection repairs) - Structural System Services (i.e. carpentry; maintenance, repair and replacement services on floors, floor coverings, walls, wall coverings, windows, and exterior systems such as roofs and gutters; structural brick work and stone and concrete masonry; sheet metal work; painting; demolition; concrete masonry; and welding - Electrical Services (interior and exterior) - Plumbing Services - Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Services (repair and replacement) The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the job. The contractor must be capable of managing simultaneous projects for a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction work. NO SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.
