pdf notice of the Industry Day meeting Pre-registration form The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District will host an "Event for Industry: Working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers," in Sofia, Bulgaria on Wednesday, 06 November 2019 at 0900 hours. LOCATION: InterContinental Sofia 4, Narodno Sabranie Sq. Sofia, Bulgaria PURPOSE: USACE Europe District has upcoming construction projects for the U.S. Army (USA), the U.S. Air Force (USAF), and other U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Agencies. These projects will be designed to improve infrastructure, and interoperability of U.S. forces with forces from the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of North Macedonia and NATO. Projects will be located throughout the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. The purpose of this event is the following: a. Provide overview and general information for USACE design-build (DB) and design-bid-build (DBB) construction projects in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. b. Share information on how to work with the USACE in general and specifically, on projects in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. c. Allow for Question and Answer session. d. Provide networking opportunity for contractors and subcontractors. USACE plans to establish various contracts. The USACE anticipates various contract types, including Multiple Award Task Order Construction Contracts (MATOCs), and stand-alone C-Type contracts for various projects in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. DETAILS: a. This is an unclassified event. b. All briefings will be presented in English only. No translation will be provided. c. The U.S. Government will not be conducting one-on-one discussions. d. This announcement is not a contract solicitation, request for proposal of any sort, a promise to issue any future contract, or a commitment to offer work of any kind on the part of the U.S. Government. e. The U.S. Government is not responsible for any costs incurred by attendees. PRE-REGISTRATION: There is not cost for attendance. All interested attendees must pre-register for the event by completing the pre-registration form and e-mailing it to Allison Blount at allison.m.blount@usace.army.mil referencing "USACE Bulgaria Event". Interested parties must email by Monday, 28 October 2019 and include name (First & Last), Country of Passport, company, day-time telephone number, e-mail address and your reason for attending (i.e. Prime Contractor, Subcontractor, etc.). Participants are limited two persons per firm. E-mail requests beyond the due date will not be accepted. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Those interested attendees not pre-registered will not be admitted to the conference.
