- This is a sources-sought announcement only for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. This Request for Information (RFI) is being issued to accomplish market research and support planning for the below listed requirements. The Government will not pay for any information or reimburse any costs incurred in responding to this RFI. No solicitation is being issued at this time. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the FedBizOpps, www.fbo.gov.web site. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The government is seeking interested contractors to provide support for the Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical-Terminal (SMART-T) system. This support effort will include producing the following NSN's to incorporate into the system: Actuator, Electro-Mechanical 2920-01-498-4625 Standard Rubidium 5895-01-440-3201 Filter, Radio Frequency, RF 5915-01-439-8404 Filter, Radio Frequency, RF 5915-01-535-5697 Filter, Radio Frequency, RF 5915-01-603-6323 Electronic Component Assembly 5998-01-440-1318 Circuit Card Assembly 5998-01-534-1049 Circuit Card Assembly 5998-01-534-1487 Circuit Card Assembly 5998-01-534-2256 Charger, Battery 6130-01-440-1304 Please Note: The Government is not in possession of the technical data package and thus this will not be released. This SSA shall NOT be construed as an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the U.S Government (USG) to acquire any products or services. It is for planning purposes only. Responses to this SSA will be treated as information only and may be used by the U.S Army in developing its acquisition strategy, Performance Work Statement, etc. if a firm requirement is identified. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the USG shall arise as a result of a Contractor or Source submission of information with responses to this SSA or the USG use of such information. NO funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for award of a contract at this time. Requirement: This Government requirement is to procure NSN's for the SMART-T system. Request that interested contractors provide the following: 1. A description of your company's expertise and experience in providing SMART-T support. 2. Describe, in general, your company's approach to developing the capability to provide SMART-T support activities which include past procurement and integration of the NSN's listed above into the system. Interested firms who believe they are capable of providing the above mentioned items are invited to indicate their interest by providing the following information to the contract specialist listed below: 1. Company name, company address, overnight delivery address (if different from mailing address, Cage Code, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number. 2. Business size (i.e. large, small disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc.) 3. Affirmation of cleared personnel. 4. A description of the company's expertise in providing manufacturing expertise and producing hardware as identified above. 5. The company's experience in meeting contractual due dates for similar type efforts. All responses shall be unclassified. All assumptions, including any assumed Government support, shall be clearly identified. All proprietary and restricted information shall be clearly marked. The experience/expertise description should be no longer than 5 pages. Responses will not be returned nor will be considered by the Government as offers.
