Description
MAF TDL AEP Sources Sought Mobility Air Forces Tactical Data Links (MAF TDL) program office is responsible for sustainment of Dynamic Retasking Capability (DRC). The MAF TDL program office is requesting information on industry capability to upgrade or replace the Airborne Executive Processor (AEP) in the DRC system. DRC provides a unique capability that has prevented loss of life and mission failures by incorporating a highly specialized secure Line-Of-Sight (LOS) and Beyond-Line-Of-Sight (BLOS) data link communications capability on tactical airdrop C-130J and C-17 aircraft. DRC's unique ability to integrate data links has resulted in additional situational awareness for MAF aircrews; has facilitated the dynamic re-tasking of airdrop missions; and has assured the de-confliction of close air support. MAF communications and coordination of real time battlefield operations has experienced significant overall improvement. DRC enables aircrews to receive changes to weather, threat conditions, diplomatic clearances, airfield restrictions, and mission taskings in time to positively influence the desired outcome. Voice communications are also enhanced by DRC by improving global coverage connectivity, and protection for controlled unclassified and classified mission information. The MAF program office is seeking to upgrade or replace 44 of the current AEP: Manufacturer: Extreme Engineering Solutions Model Number: XPand4200
