- Description
- Pittsburgh VAMC Surgical Service Line is seeking a Comprehensive Data Cleanse and Asset Optimization Implementation for surgical trays used in the operating room. Surgical trays are they key component of the Surgical procedure and contain all the instrumentation needed to perform surgery. Within the next 2 months, the Pittsburgh VAMC will be implementing Censitrac Surgical Fleet Tracking system that will help properly track Surgical trays and contents within the trays throughout the Hospital and Sterilization process. Censitrac is a mandatory being implemented through all VAMC s. It is imperative to get the Optimization process started prior to the aggressive timeline for implementation of Censitrac to avoid inputting inaccurate tray information. This request is for the TrillaMed/Aesculap (TrillaMed) Comprehensive Data Cleanse and Asset Optimization Implementation. This is a four-step process that is designed to balance clinical and financial outcomes. TrillaMed has already completed Phase 1 of the QuickScan back in Sept 2018, and the remaining phases are required to implement the changes. TrillaMed will provide real expertise along with the surgical team at the VA to improve lifecycle of surgical tray inventory and instruments. This is a one-time service that will allow TrillaMed to come in and work on the project over a period of up to 120 days. Based on the results of market research (to include a sources sought). There is no other vendor that offers this in-depth manual optimization program found other than TrillaMed. TrillaMed has already completed Phase 1 of the QuickScan back in September 2018, there are additional phases remaining that are required to implement the changes. Most of our instrumentation in the surgical trays are of Aesculap brand allowing for a seamless swap of instrumentation that is noted in the phase 2 assessment of the surgical trays.
