Description
Draft Specification for Hangar 68 dated 4/16/2019 Phase D Drawings to project FTFA 16-1189 dated 4/16/2019 Phase C Drawings to project FTFA 16-1189 dated 4/16/2019. *Includes Bid option #3, project FTFA 17-1120 Phase B Drawings to project FTFA 16-1189 dated 4/16/2019. *Includes Bid option #1, project FTFA 17-1045, and Bid option #2, project FTFA 17-1126 Phase A Drawings to project FTFA 16-1189 dated 4/16/2019. The AFTC Installation Contracting Construction Division/PZIOC, Eglin AFB, FL intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single firm fixed-price contract for construction services for Project Number FTFA 16-1198 to renovate Hanger 68 at Eglin AFB (Main). Work involves the renovation of the fire suppression system in an approximately 80,000 sq ft existing building. Project will consist of one main fire suppression phased renovation across multiple rooms and three (3) separate bid options for additional building renovations. Work may include, but is not limited to: sitework, utilities, fire suppression upgrade and removal, lead abatement, Fire protection, roofing work, interior partitions/vestibules, interior finishes, HVAC systems, plumbing, restroom renovations, power, and lighting work. Contractor shall comply with the contract, all applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) requirements, in addition to Federal, State, and local requirements. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with applicable drawings, specifications, industry standards, applicable building and environmental codes, regulations, and laws. Draft drawings and specifications are attached. Work will include construction during and around an active mission test schedule. Government escorts may be required for some portions of the work. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 24 October 2019 under number FA282320R0001. Proposals are not being requested or accepted in this synopsis. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number; recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The solicitation will be available only via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov. For information on how to register your company on FBO, to view or receive updates and notifications to the solicitation, please reference the FBO Vendor Guide located on the FBO web site home page. NO paper copies of the impending solicitation will be furnished. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Accordingly, an anticipated site visit for this requirement will be on 29 October 2019 at 0800. FAR 52.236-27, Alternate I, Site Visit (Construction) will be include in the RFP. Site visits may be arranged by contacting Michael Cenedella by email at michael.cenedella.1@us.af.mil. Participants will meet at Hangar 68 and must request pass access to base via email through POC listed above by providing name and date of birth (DOB) of individual(s) attending the visit. Offerors attending are encouraged to submit this request before notice of the solicitation is posted.
