- Description
- Page 2 of 2 INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The VA Portland Health Care System, located at 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland OR, 97239, intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Data Sciences International, 119-14th Street NW, St. Paul MN 55112 pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(only one source) for the Brand name or equal procurement of the Ponemah Software System and corresponding components. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334516. This equipment will serve to expand and upgrade existing software and equipment currently in use, accelerating our ability to make progress in VA research goals. This equipment upgrade and expansion will be available to the preclinical Nephrology department for long term blood pressure studies in mice. Currently, our telemetry system has the capacity to measure 12 animals simultaneously. This number of animals has been satisfactory for running one experiment at a time. As our reliance on telemetry has grown, this size of a system has resulted in a significant back-log of experiments. This acquisition will double our capacity. This is an upgrade to existing software currently being used. The product requested is the Ponemah Software System and corresponding components. See description below. Ponemah software system Telemetry interface upgrade (ART to Ponemah) Ponemah core software Analysis module Computer Software license Ambient pressure reference Matrix 2.0 Network switch Receivers (12 count) VPN router Power Supply Matrix 2.0 (2 count) These items include all equipment and software necessary for our radio telemetry upgrade and expansion. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting this requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Tuesday, 10/8/2019 at 10:00 AM ET. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Linda Buccigrossi at linda.buccigrossi@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
