Description

Smithsonian Enterprises (SE) is seeking paper supply proposals for its magazines and catalogs, representing approximately 8.9 million annual pounds of paper, with an anticipated start date in April 2020. SE's goal is to reduce its total paper cost, from savings in any/all of these areas - paper price, paper specifications, cashflow, inventory, and contractual price controls. SE is looking to establish long-term relationships with the selected merchant and mill. This is not a solicitation for a federal contract and is therefore not governed by federal procurement procedures. The RFP will be available on or about 10/16/19. Please note: The Smithsonian anticipates the need to disclose certain confidential information about its business activities during the RFP process. As a result, we will require that requestors sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to receiving a copy of the RFP. If your company is interested in working with the Smithsonian on this project, please contact Susan Engelhardt via email at engelhardts@si.edu to request a copy of the non-disclosure agreement. Proposals are due on 11/20/19. Requested materials must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered. Thank you for your interest.
