Description

This notice is to inform that due to the US NAVY and NAVSUP FLCSI need to increase competition within the Mediterranean and to gain capability for ship repair in Northern Europe. Ship Repair Industry Days are scheduled on USNS CARSON CITY (T-EPF-7), 19 November 2019, with follow-on meetings on 20 November to 21 November 2019 in Athens, Greece. The US NAVY Ship Repair Industry Days plan to provide on the first day, 19 November 2019, a basic knowledge of the US governments contracting regulation and technical standards required, provide assistance in all registrations, such as System for Award Management (SAM), to become a qualified US government contractor. On 20 and 21 November 2019, a ship repair tour and one-on-one meetings will be held with the companies that will make the request for it. Vendors are welcome and encouraged to attend any or all of the industry days. Companies might be limited to 2-3 attendees per industry day to ensure sufficient space for all to attend. Finally, we will be providing time for one-on-one meetings to vendors to address specific questions related to the ship repairs requirements. Interested vendors need to contact Joseph Van Gorp at joseph.vangorp@eu.navy.mil and LCDR Jeff Eom at jeff.eom@eu.navy.mil provide the attendees names and good phone numbers by 15 October 2019. After review of the requests, the Government will provide to contractors specific information for the requested industry day including location and time and if any documentation will be required for access.
