- Description
- STATEMENT OF WORK DESCRIPTION OF SEPPLIES OR SERVICES REQUIRED. The USEPA NAREL facility in Montgomery, AL procures on an annual basis for its FIXED and MOBILE radioanalytical laboratories ~30 NIST traceable analytical standards. These series of radioactive calibration standards are in a variety of simulated environmental matrices, geometries and specific radionuclide concentrations. These standards are used to determine instrument efficiencies for gamma spectroscopy systems as well as gas proportional counters. These standards must be National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable and meet the quality requirements of the NELAC Institute. These standards produced utilize synthetic and actual sample material to prepare traceable radiological calibration standards for environmental sample analysis. These include air particulate filters, air sample cartridges, simulated soil, simulated water, and vegetation. Additional specifications are for specific densities, container sizes and shapes as well as specific radionuclide concentrations and total activities. These radioactive standards are sealed in epoxy resins or encased in mylar film to make them safe for transport and field use by our Mobile Environmental Radiation Laboratory (MERL). QUANTITY (19 Total Standards): See TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1.Technical Specifications for NIST Traceable Mixed Gamma Calibrations Standards (9 Standards) 2.Technical Specifications for NIST Traceable Multi nuclide Alpha/Beta Laboratory Control Standards (2 Standards) 3.Technical Specifications for NIST Traceable Calibration Check Sources (8 Standards) PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 1.Order should be placed in vendor production que for production in the next available reference date (i.e.: Order placed after September 1, 2019, should be scheduled for January 2020 reference date). 2.Completed Standards after receipt of containers and acceptance of Purchase Order shall be shipped within 60 days of reference date. 3.Delivery is prepaid and FOB Atlanta, GA, FedEx 2 day 4.Payment is net 30 days after receipt of order.
