- Sources Sought Notice for any size business willing and capable of collection and disposal of universal waste that are generated on Government owned and Government operated premises at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX 78209. The cemetery washes their equipment on a low-pressure mud rack; and conducts periodic maintenance of such equipment. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, tools, materials, supplies equipment and any other items necessary to perform Universal waste disposal for the National Cemetery. Interested vendors should submit capability statement and/or acknowledgement that they are willing and capable of providing the required services described in this announcement to Kenneth.dougherty@va.gov no later than 4:00 pm on 10/11/2019. Description: This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. This is a solicitation issued as a source sought notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are due to the Contracting Officer no later than 4:00 pm on 10/11/2019. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information provided nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided for the Government. Offerors are responsible for obtaining any and all amendments or additional information concerning this announcement at https://fbo.gov. Prospective offerors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) website and complete representations and certifications at https://www.sam.gov Technical Requirements: The objective of this SOW is to outline the procurement of services to remove oily water, used oil, used coolant from containers or tanks listed; and labor/service to vacuum sludge solids from the mud rack listed below: Unit Size Unit (Gallons) Material Removed Location Drum 55 gals Used Oil Maintenance Building Drum 55 gals Used Coolant Maintenance Building Tank 2,500 gals Oily Water (oil/water separator) Maintenance Building Sump 1,000 gals Sludge solids Entryway Maintenance Building Drum 55 gals Used transmission fluid Maintenance Building Drum 55 gals Used filters Maintenance Building Tank 30 gals Used green parts cleaner Maintenance Building Task 1 The contractor shall use qualified personnel with working knowledge of equipment required to remove materials. Task 2 The contractor will provide necessary labor and service to: Remove a total of 220 gallons (for the annual period) used oil from the 55 gallon drum(s) located at the POL storage of the maintenance building. (3-4 times per year) Remove a total of 55 gallons (for the annual period) used transmission fluid from the 55 gallon drum(s) located at the POL storage of the maintenance building. (1 time per year). Remove a total of 55 gallons (for the annual period) used coolant from the 55 gallon drum(s) located at the POL storage of the maintenance building. (1 time per year) Remove a total of 2000 gallons of oily water from the 2,500 gallon oil/water separator tank located at the southside of the maintenance building. (2 times a year) Remove a total of 1600 gallons (for the annual period) sludge solids from the mud rack sump located at the south entryway of the maintenance building. (2 times a year). Remove a total of 110 gallons (for the annual period) used filters from the 55 gallon drum(s) located at the POL storage of the maintenance building. (2 time per year) Remove a total of 60 gallons (for the annual period) used green parts cleaner fluids from the 30 gallon tank(s) located at the POL storage of the maintenance building; and service the unit and replace the fluids. (2 time per year) Task 3 Overages: Any additional work that needs to be performed that is above and beyond the work described in this SOW needs to be approved, in advance, by the Contracting Officer. Action Required By Interested Offerors in Response to this Sources Sought Notice: Interested Offerors shall provide a Capability Statement clearly demonstrating the company s expertise performing the services & supplies described above as well as a list of recent projects, ongoing or completed, of a similar nature to demonstrate the company s ability to perform such services.
