- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), Butner, North Carolina, intends to issue to the current contractor a firm-fixed price, sole source purchase order to Ricoh USA, 70 Valley Stream Parkway, Malvern, PA 19533. This non-competitive action is being issued by the Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, NC for the period October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020. The Federal Correctional Complex has a need for copier rental in the FCC Butner Medical Department. The Government has determined that Ricoh USA is the only vendor that will satisfy the agency requirements with continuing Copier rental and Maintenance services for the Medical Department. The Government has determined that switching contractors will cause undue burden on the Government. FCC Butner has determined the lack of staffing, background clearance procedures and internal logistical issues will be too burdensome for the Government to replace copiers at this time. This is not a request for competitive quotes and is a Sole Source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 15 working days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
