- Description
- Since 2013, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has used Unison Software, Inc.'s (formerly Compusearch Software Systems, Inc.) PRISM software for its system to create and manage documentation for acquisitions and financial assistance services. The NRC's implementation of that system, known as the Strategic Acquisition System (STAQS), supports 600 NRC's STAQS users at headquarters and the regional offices. The U.S. Department of Transportation hosts NRC's STAQS solution via an Interagency Acquisition under the Economy Act. That hosting agreement expires on February 29, 2020. The NRC requires continued use of STAQS, including hosting, PRISM software subscriptions, maintenance, and related IT professional services beyond the expiration of the agreement with DOT. The NRC has confirmed in writing with Unison that Unison does not authorize any other commercial sources to provide the hosting, software license and related services that the NRC requires. Therefore, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), the NRC intends to solicit, negotiate and award a contract to Unison Software, Inc., 21251 Ridgetop Cir Ste 100, Dulles, VA, 20166-6644 to acquire migration of hosting, subsequent hosting, PRISM software subscriptions, maintenance, and related IT professional services. This renewed support is necessary to ensure that the NRC is able to continue to use STAQS and provide STAQS users with the required support. The contract will consist of a base period from September 30, 2019 through June 28, 2020 plus three one-year options to extend the term of the contract.
