Description
Request for Information: Washer Dryer Leasing and Appliances. Topic 1) Phase In/Phase out (Transition In/Transition Out) : The Government past experience with transition of complete new inventory at the start and end of contract is a weakness that the Government would like addressed and included in the future solicitation. Currently we have contractor appliances installed at MCRD that will need to be removed by outgoing contractor. MCRD only allows commercial deliveries 4 weekdays per week. The installation must be done only when all appliances for a laundry room are available. MCRD anticipates that the current/future vendor will be allowed to use a warehouse space for short term storage of appliances. If a vendor has any ideas to help the government better define the Phase In/Phase out (Transition In/Transition Out) - please respond to this RFI. If a vendor has a contract that provided a good definition of requirements for this transition period - please provide contract number or contracting point of contract information. 2) Installation issue As required by the manufacturer, 30 lbs heavy duty washers must be properly secured to the floor with cement anchors and grouting - the Government anticipates the vendor will be required to perform this work. In estimating the cost of this requirement, the Government is seeking to know the level of effort. Approximately how many labor hours are required per washer? The Government is assuming an Appliance Service Technician would be required for this task. Reference https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/49-9031.00 Please limit the response to the RFI to the items above. Do NOT send capability statements in response to this RFI. The RFI Response should be emailed no later than 5 PM PST on October 7, 2019, with the subject "RFI Response" and should not exceed 3 Mbytes.
