Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Indianapolis VA Health Care System, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Kub Technologies for the B XPERT 80 shielded cabinet X-ray system. KUB Technologies Inc. is the creator of the XPERT 80 shielded cabinet X-ray which is the only system that has unique features required including high definition optical camera, specimen alert (if specimen is not removed from the chamber), micro-focus images of up to 5 µm or 100 Ip/mm for maximum spatial resolution and detail, and a 10 X 12 detector size. It is a mobile unit that has ports for anesthetic and monitoring valves/cords. It has user friendly software and a touch screen interface. Laser centering guide ensures accurate alignment of specimens and the detector. Images can be annotated and saved in multiple formats. Thus, the Kubtec XPERT 80 shielded cabinet X-ray system is an innovative device that overcomes many limitations of currently used conventional approaches and will advance science with high quality, efficiency, precision, and publications. This is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, September 25th, 12:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
