Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price IDIQ Contract with Apria Healthcare LLC. This procurement is for Home Oxygen Services for the Roseburg VA Medical Center located in Roseburg, Oregon; and the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics (SORCC) located in White City, Oregon. This is a FAR 13.5 single source procurement and will be justified under the authority of Other Than Full and Open Competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 3304(a)(1). Only one responsible source and no other requirement will satisfy the needs of the Government. This contract for Home Oxygen Services will be a short-term bridge contract with Apria Healthcare LLC to ensure continuity of these essential services for veterans. A competitive solicitation for a long-term contract for this requirement will be posted in the future. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 532283. The Government's intent is to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement. The Government plans to award a contract for this requirement on 09/29/2019. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the market place for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Once the J&A is approved the signed document will be Posted to Fed Biz Opps within 14 days of the contract award for a minimum of 30 days in accordance of FAR 6.305.
