SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center is issuing this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) as a means of conducting market research to identify Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) with the capability to supply automated packaging equipment to the VA. Your response to this SSN will assist the government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Companies that are not considered a small business under NAICS code 333993 are not eligible to submit a response to this SSN. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide the required equipment consistent with the specifications in ATTACHMENTs A and B for the below: BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO: MANUFACTURER: PREGIS MANUFACURER MODEL MAX-PRO 18 (Continuous Bagging System) Refer to ATTACHMENT A for detailed technical specifications. MANUFACTURER: PREGIS MANUFACTURER MODEL SX GO (Tabletop Bagging System) Refer to ATTACHMENT B for detailed technical specifications. This SSN does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the VA to contract for any supply or service. Furthermore, the VA is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this SSN. There is no solicitation available at this time. The VA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this SSN. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. NAICS CODE AND SIZE STANDARD: The current NAICS code is 333993 Packaging Machinery Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 employees or less. INFORMATION SOUGHT: Interested, qualified SDVOSB s and/or VOSB s shall submit responses to this SSN to include the technical manufacturer specifications/literature of the equipment believed to be brand name or equal to the equivalents of Attachments A and B. The government will not return any information submitted in response to this notice. Responses to this SSN shall be submitted on or before 12:00PM CDST on September 26, 2019 via email to Henry Fox @ Henry.Fox@va.gov. INFORMATION RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. DISCLAIMER: This SSN is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this SSN that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
