Description
Recently, there were two 355s submitted to Engineering trying to clarify the FAT Requirements and Drawings in the TDP. Here are the answers provided by Engineering: QUESTION 1 : Potential offeror is seeking clarification if FAT is truly required? They state that they've recently bid on Junction Box Assemblies that did not require FAT. Potential Offeror wrote: Please note that Junction Box Assembly, Cab, drawing 13056031, does not call out a Product Fabrication Specification to perform the FAT requirement per page 6 of the solicitation. Drawing 13056031, Note 15, calls out Continuity Testing only. ANSWER: Agree, the TDP does not call out FAT, however, this office reserves the right to request FAT for material that has critical applications and other reasons.. The offeror states they bid on other solicitations, when was this? if BAE is buying this for the M109A7 program please notify and I may be able to resubmit a new Section E removing the FAT requirement. Otherwise, in lieu of a Full FAT, this office and CCDC Engineering would be willing to review a truncated test plan to verify the performance, quality and functionality of the Junction Box. QUESTION 2 : Are all drawings available when accessing the TDP? To start off, on drawing 12580506, Connector, there is a separate Material or Parts List. Item 3 is a Plug Assy, drawing 2221233-1. I do not see this drawing and I also checked MIL-DTL-83527 and I don't see any reference to this part number. So that leads me to believe that this is a separate drawing. In addition, that drawing may have it's own Parts List which could also have some associated drawings. ANSWER: 2221233-1 is a commercial P/N from TE Connectivity. CCDC does not provide this drawing.
