Page 5 of 5 Page 5 of 5 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE 36C77619Q0201_1 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) on behalf of the Workforce Management and Consulting Office (WMC) intends to issue a direct award to B&M Construction, Inc., 3134 Beacon Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 to procure, deliver, and install office furniture under the authority of 15 U.S.C. 657f, Procurement program for small business concerns owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans as implemented by FAR 6.302-5(6), Sole source awards under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003. The NAICS code for this procurement is 337214 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 1,000. Description of Requirement: Performance Work Statement WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT, VHA Furniture Services Introduction: The Workforce Management and Consulting Office (WMC) is a key organizational component of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Department of Veterans Affairs, and as part of its overall mission has responsibility for space planning for all VHA Central Office facilities. We are responsible for providing work space for all VHA employees, including reassigning the appropriate space whenever program offices are realigned within the organization, and ensuring the proper space and furniture is provided to all employees. This support includes the relocation of employees and management of space and furniture. Objective: WMC seeks to utilize an outside contract to procure, deliver, and install furniture to build out work space on the 6th & 7th floor of 810 Vermont Avenue NW, Washington DC. The furniture buildout is required to accommodate additional staff. Scope: The Department of Veterans Health Administration (VHA), requires workstations to accommodate the need for more personnel. On the 6th & 7th floor of 810 Vermont Avenue NW, Washington, DC. Contractor Requirements - Supply brand name or equal furniture. Project Requirements: Contractor is responsible for delivery, distribution and installation of furniture for this project. It is the Contractor s responsibility to verify product and field dimensions to ensure proper fit of selected pieces. Shop drawings for desks and workstations must be included with the bid submission and must be representative of the exact product included in the proposal in order to be considered for award. Failure to submit shop drawings will result in a no bid for those line items. Product Specifications Contractor to supply 59 Kimball Narrate Stations with height adjust tables, 8 benching stations, and copier areas. Stations to have whiteboard inside. Stations to include a wardrobe unit. All stations to be powered and have outlets at desk height. Please see furniture specs below. Stations must have: Single sided power option To the Floor tiles Support traxx and tiles only where it is needed to support overheads/worksurfaces and worktools. Trim traxx and tiles used everywhere else. Can merge wireway covers to have a cleaner look Can merge top caps to have a cleaner look Can extend glass in top cap spanning over two or more frames up to 96"W. Markerboard tiles offered in laminate or metal finish Task One: Provide and install furniture as described below: Vendor shall provide personnel and equipment necessary for installation of furniture. Installation dates will be scheduled with the project manager. 4.1 Deliverables: As part of this deliverable the vendor shall be responsible for the following: Provide trucks and equipment for furniture and delivery services. Remove debris and clean worksite. The Contractor shall furnish all tools and services required to deliver and install chairs dates indicated. Selected contractor/vendor will be required to provide a certificate of Insurance to the building managers of each location and to provide a list of movers and equipment to be screened prior to the move date. Crew members must be American citizens. Vendor will remove and dispose of all trash including packaging materials. Period of Performance: The Contractor shall complete services required under this contract 8 weeks from contract award. Delivery dates will be communicated/coordinated by the Project Manager and Contractor POC a minimum of 3 days in advance. Specific dates/times of service are to be coordinated between contractor and government technical representative identified above. Place of Performance: All work associated with this requirement will be performed within the Washington DC local. Access shall be coordinated with the government Project Manager.
