Description
Case Western Reserve Univ. J&A The United States Department Of Naval Medical Research Center(NMRC) intends to award a sole source contract, Case Western Reserve University-Dept. Of Physiology & Biophysics, Cleveland, OH. 44106. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals however If interested Government shall consider all responses. E-mail responses should be no longer than 3 pages send to deborah.m.sharpe2.civ@mail.mil or tatana.olson@us.af.mil Background: High-altitude hypobaric aviation is accompanied by risks of environmental hypoxia, venous gas emboli and decompression sickness. Neuroprotection against those hazards is conferred by providing a continuous fraction of inspired oxygen (FiO2) between 60-100% (hyperoxia). Defining the duration, specificity, and functional impacts of hyperoxia upon neural function is necessary to safeguard high-altitude aviators and aircrew. See attached J&A for detailed information about this study. he NAICS code for this action is 541715. This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12 Commercial Items. NMRC requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Systems For Award Management (SAM).
