Description
******UPDATED Request for Information (RFI)******* The purpose of this update is to extend the due date for responses through 31 October 2019. Previous attachment still applies. ******UPDATED Request for Information (RFI)******* The purpose of this update is to provide a revised RFI document clarifying the request. Previous responders need not respond again unless the clarification changes your response. New document is attached. ************************************************************ The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit information from VTOL aircraft designers/manufactures related to their technical and design approaches and the vehicle ™s landing and takeoff capabilities. Information regarding VTOL facilities that the designer/manufacturer has is also appreciated. The information will be used to facilitate the development of minimum standards and guidance for the design and operation of VTOL facilities that support civil VTOL aircraft. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this RFI. Therefore, any cost associated with an RFI is solely at the interested Vehicle Developer ™s expense. A technical review team comprised of FAA personnel and support contractors from General Dynamics Information Technology and Gemini Technologies will review the responses and use the information provided to create a design evaluation document. The FAA will not publicly disclose respondents ™ proprietary information. See attached for full submittal instructions.
