- The Department of Veteran Affairs, Networking Contracting Office (NCO1) located in Brockton, MA intends to enter into a sole source procurement, pursuant to the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), with Alcon for the following items in new condition: ORA VERIFEYE with SURGICAL CART SYSTEM Manufacturer: Alcon Wave Tec Vision Systems, Inc. Part Number: 8065753093 Quantity: 1 The Contractor shall provide the following: Installation and implementation of a fully functional ORA Verifeye and Surgical Cart System Clinical Training for Providence VA Medical Center staff. Technical Training for Providence VA Medical Center staff. The items listed above will be utilized at the Providence Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Providence, RI. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112 with small business size standard of 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a solicitation nor is it a request for proposal. However, interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirement listed above must clearly identify their capability to do so in writing by Monday, September 16, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. EST time. Responses should be sent to John Shawki at issa.shawki@va.gov. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
