- Draft Statement of Work THIS IS A PUBLIC NOTICE.THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS PUBLIC NOTICE DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ANY CONTRACT AWARD. THIS NOTICE IS INTENDED AS A FORECAST TO INFORM THE PUBLIC OF VARIOUS REQUIREMENTS THAT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH ANTICIPATES AWARDING IN FISCAL YEAR 2020. THIS NOTICE IS INTENDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND SHALL NOT COMMIT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH (NIH) TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION FOR THESE REQUIREMENTS. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIH-OLAO-OD3-SS-20-CHALLENGE. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small business; service disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The National Institutes of Health Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) is the first Public Health Service office dedicated specifically to promoting research on the health of women. A recent initiative of the Working Group is to find novel solutions to stem the loss of women researchers throughout their careers. Through the development of a challenge, the Working Group seeks to acknowledge institutional approaches that created/improved inclusive environments that have resulted in significant improvements in faculty gender diversity. Another aim of this challenge is to disseminate practices for improving the representation of women faculty in biomedical fields in order to assist other institutions in overcoming barriers. The purpose of the following tasks/programs is to help with the mission to support career opportunities and advancement for a diverse biomedical workforce. Specifically, the ORWH will support a prize competition (ORWH Challenge Competition) to identify and reinforce the advancement of gender diversity within the faculty ranks at institutions of higher learning within the United States. If your organization is a small business and has the potential capacity to provide these contract items, please provide the following information: (1) Organization name, address, email address, web site address, and telephone number (2) size and type of ownership for the organization [i.e., small business, small disadvantage business, 8 (a) firm, etc]. Business experiences, sizes, types, and socioeconomic designations shall be included with the capability statements. Capability statements must be received by September 13, 2019 EST.
