- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY AND A SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. The information collected will be used for market research to define the government's requirements and create the appropriate acquisition strategy. Responding to this notice does not automatically include the responder on any bidders list, if such a list is developed. Depending on the quantity and quality of the responses received, the criteria may serve to generate the initial pool of potential contractors to be invited to respond to a resulting solicitation. This Request for Information (RFI) seeks qualified contractors that can provide Illumina Laboratory Equipment and Services for the US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS). Sources Sought Notice and Request for Information (RFI) 1232SA19Q0070. The proposed acquisition classified under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing (Size Standard of 1,000 employees). The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service has a requirement for 1) MiSeq, NextSeq and HiSeq sequencing equipment and reagents necessary for preparing samples for sequence by synthesis runs, and 2) Infinium assays reagents, HiScan and iScan instruments used to scan iSelect BeadChip arrays for SNP genotyping, including peripheral equipment, corresponding analysis software, and service agreements. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database as required by FAR 4.1102 to be considered for any awards. See FAR 52.204-7 for registration instructions. It is the vendor's responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Please include in the response: interested party's business size (large or small) and type of firm (e.g. 8(a) concern, small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, women-owned small business, and service-disabled veteran owned small business).
