Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1; only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Eclipse Acoustic Solutions, Inc. to relocate an audiology booth installed and operated at the Watertown SD Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The contractor shall disassemble and reassemble the audiometric booth in the new location, provide metal packaging, and calibrate the booth after reinstallation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $22.0M. The service code is J065, Maint/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment-Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement by submitting supporting documentation including an authorized dealer/distributor letter. Such documentation will be reviewed solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
