Description
DRAFT DRAWINGS DRAFT SPECS Industry Day for Seminoe Powerplant Roof and Window Replacement Synopsis In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 15.201 - Exchanges with Industry Before Receipt of Proposals, the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region will be holding an Industry Day to discuss a future planned acquisition activity for the Seminoe Powerplant Roof and Window Replacement. Scope The scope of the project includes the following: Repair damaged concrete in raised concrete pads on roof to include saw cutting, removal and replacement of concrete; replace damaged glass blocks in downstream side of powerplant and repair joints; remove and dispose of existing powerplant roof; remove and dispose of asbestos containing materials; install new roofing system; inspect and clean roof drains. Background The Seminoe Powerplant roof was replaced in 1986 with a built up roof system and is currently leaking. The windows are original to the powerplant and are currently leaking. The overhead powerlines on top the plant will be deenergized during the construction phase of the project. Who should attend Companies with technical expertise to furnish and install complex roof systems, furnish and install block window systems, furnish and maintain scaffolding systems, electrical contractors and companies to provide onsite asbestos material abatement. Purpose The intent of Industry Day is for industry and Reclamation to improve the understanding of Government requirements and industry capabilities. As well, Reclamation is seeking feedback from industry on how to best to detail the roof system over the concrete pedestals on top of the powerplant given that there are existing electrical conduits and equipment. Give feedback if the anticipated construction schedule is adequate for the work involved, and if the project scope items namely roof replacement and window replacement can be performed simultaneously. Suggest input on how the window replacement associated with the asbestos remediation can be best accomplished due to difficult access issues. Industry Day will allow attendees the opportunity to speak directly with Reclamation contracting officials and project leads about their capabilities and recommendations with the planned procurement activity. Date and Location Industry Day will be held on September 25, 2019 at 9:00 AM at Seminoe Powerplant. Those that plan to attend will need to register by contacting the Contracting Officer, Gerri Voto-Braun via e-mail by COB September 24, 2019. There is no registration fee to attend. Additional Information Industry Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts. Attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose and potentially related agency announcements or potential solicitations on any discussed topics.
