- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Hologic, LLC 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752. The period of performance for contract award will be from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020 with provision for four (4) option years. This requirement is to provide repair and maintenance, on the Hologic Tissue Processor this will include providing all necessary labor, OEM parts and materials Hologic Tissue Processor located at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210-2716. All work shall be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians authorized by Hologic, LLC to do preform repairs and use only new OEM parts. Hologic, LLC is the only known provider since the equipment is proprietary and maintenance therefore only be provided by Hologic, LLC. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
