- Page 3 of 3 Department of Veterans Affairs Sealed All-In-One Medical Grade Personal Computer (PC) Request for Information September 3, 2019 Introduction This is a Request for Information (RFI) only issued for the purpose of conducting market research. Accordingly, this RFI constitutes neither a Request for Quote (RFQ) nor a guarantee that one will be issued by the Government in the future; furthermore, it does not commit the Government to contract for any services described herein. Do not submit a Quote. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not, at this time, seeking proposals or quotes, and therefore, will not accept, review, or evaluate unsolicited proposals or quotes received in response hereto. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or, reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. The information provided may be used by VA in developing its acquisition strategy and Product Description (PD). Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary; however, any information received shall become the property of the Government and will not be returned to the respondent. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. This is a request for information and does not obligate the Government in any way, nor does it commit the Government to any specific course of action. The VA Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) is seeking response to develop its acquisition strategy for a Sealed All-In-One Medical Grade PC. In 2010, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) established the Real Time Location System (RTLS) Project Management Office (PMO) within the Program Office for Healthcare Technology Management (HTM PMO or 10NA9). The RTLS PMO is an organizational part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Major Initiative 15, Health Care Efficiency (HCE) Initiative. The RTLS PMO assists facilities and Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) with the selection, deployment, and management of RTLS technologies at VHA facilities. RTLS technologies are used to automatically identify and track the location of objects or people in real time. Utilizing these technologies have provided medical centers and other VA facilities with the real-time capability to track medical instruments and sets. Through RTLS, there were an excess of 2,000 all-in-one medical grade computers deployed across the VA, for use within sterile processing services (SPS). The VA has upgraded to the Windows 10 operating system; as a result of this upgrade, the current computers are now incompatible with VA specifications and must be replaced. This procurement of new all-in-one medical grade computers is necessary so that SPS may continue to function. This requirement is for Brand Name or Equivalent Medix KW22 All-In-One Computer System. ***Please Note: General capability statements or marketing materials will not be accepted. Please indicate which NAICS code you are a small business under. Are you able to comply with FAR 52.219-6 and 52.219-14 in execution of this effort? Are you able to comply with VAAR 852.219-10, VA Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside and with subcontracting limitations in 13 CFR 125.6 in execution of this effort?
