- The following solicitation for Ipswich Soil Sample is extended from 4 September 2019 to 16 September 2019 @ 12 pm estern standard time. All other requirements related to this solicitation remains the same. Please provide all proposals via email to derrick.barnes.7@us.af.mil. This work will take place within a culturally sensitive resource area (CSRA) protected by Massachusetts Historical Commission and state law. Applicable to all work, Contractor shall adhere to the approved Archaeological Protection Plan (attached). This includes, but is not limited to, the adhering to the provisions for cessation of work, deployment of an archaeologist, and appropriate notifications and response actions for the inadvertent discovery of archaeological resources and human remains. For work in the CSRA, Contractor shall provide all protective measures necessary to comply with the approved archaeological protection plan, including but not limited to, installation and removal of protective mats required for site access. Investigation shall consist of three phases: (1) clearing the investigation areas of brush and small treelings,(2) a non-intrusive geophysical survey, and (3) excavation test-pits with debris characterization to include sampling and analysis. The locations requiring investigation are not well defined. Anomalies on geophysical survey may be debris consisting of ACM or may consist of construction debris other than ACM. The number and specific locations of test pits may change based on the results of geophysical surveys. Contractor shall participate in a site visit with the Government to define the areas of the survey and shall stake out the areas prior to commencing further work. Contractor shall conduct all necessary permitting, permissions and notifications, from the proper regulatory agency, including but not limited to, dig-safe clearance, permitting (if any) required through the State of Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Hanscom AFB Work Clearance and Dig Permits, including the preparation of any documents necessary to support required permitting and clearance. Contractor shall provide all measures necessary to investigate the site to fully meet this scope of work, including providing any and all required personal protective equipment (if necessary), site monitoring, and site restoration to original grades and conditions in accordance with applicable state requirements and regulations.
