- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is not a request for quote (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not pay for any cost incurred in responding to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought synopsis shall be voluntary. This Sources Sought Notice is for Market Research purposes only. The information submitted in response to the Sources Sought Notice will not be utilized to determine vendor standing in any future/potential Request for Quote/Request for Proposal, nor will it be utilized to determine if a vendor is qualified to submit a Request for Quote/Request for Proposal for any future/potential requirement. The notice and the information received shall not be used to determine how well respondents can perform a requirement, which can only be evaluated in response to a solicitation. Vendors will not receive formal notification or feedback on any information submitted in this Sources Sought request. All future/proposed submissions/solicitations requirements solicited on a Government Point of Entry will be evaluated independent of any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. No vendor will be provided information on solicitations issued on a Government Point of Entry based on this Sources Sought request. This Sources Sought Notice is relative to the NAICS code 511210. The Small Business size standard for this NAICS code is 7030. Large and Small Businesses are invited to answer this market survey to determine market capabilities. Hurlburt Field, FL, is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide the SimX Medical Virtual Reality Trainer. The potential requirement will consist of the contractor providing all of the following: SimX: Medical Virtual Reality trainer hardware, license and case studies. A comprehensive medical training virtual reality package that provides 24 SOW Medical personnel the ability to train specific medical protocols. This item will increase the effectiveness of 24 SOW medical training and thought process through Virtual Reality simulations. Manufacturer: SimX Item Description: Medical Virtual Reality Trainer Requirements: -Fully immersive - integrated with goggles (visual/auditory) -Provision of tactile feedback - eg. pulse checks -Ability to move within a 3-D virtual space -Team training for up to 4 individuals within the same space -Networked system - capability for multiple users to train remotely within the same virtual space -Custom case development based on desired learning objectives and specific medical protocols oPatients of any age, ethnicity, or demographic oOther virtual family members or health care providers oED, OR, Outdoor or other custom environments oInteractive tools such as Stethoscope, Ultrasound, Syringe, POC labs, Gloves, Gown, monitors, imaging, pulses, IVs, etc oUnique patient animations including but not limited to talking, hand gestures, sitting up, laying down, chest pain, abdominal pain, heavy breathing, neurologic exams, etc -Virtual equipment/medications based on real-world materials utilized by unit PJs/IDMTs -Integrated evaluation tools to assess performance during scenario and provide objective feedback to trainees. -Ability to record case execution for subsequent review and feedback to trainees -VR System is portable -Wireless connectivity -VR Hardware o1 HTC Vive Pro VR hardware set including gaming computer, headset, controllers, lightboxes, wireless adapters and all necessary accessories. oCarrying Case oManufacturer warranty with enterprise level hardware support -SimX License with on site installation/training, on site support visits, unlimited phone/internet/chat support If offer is providing an alternate item(s) then the offer must provide the item specification demonstrating it is an equal to the items identified in this sources sought.
