- This is a correction of the previous Notice of Intent to sole source to correct the NAICS in the body of the notice and the period of performance. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C 1901 The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. for Autoimmune testing on a cost-per-reportable result basis. The contractor will provide reagents and ancillary supplies for use on the Bio-Rad Bioplex 2200 instrument that is owned by the Edward Hines Jr VA Hospital, Hines, IL. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.501, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be an indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity contract with firm-fixed price items for a 5-year ordering period. The NAICS Code is 325413-In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products to the Contracting Officer by 12:00PM September 5, 2019 as a period was already previously provided. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be reviewed however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. As a result of this information, if no responses are received to necessitate solicitation of quotes, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Bio-Rad.
