Description
Questions and Answers: Answers are in RED How many tags in the current RSview32 system? See specifications and drawings. What Protocols are being used in the plant? See specifications and drawings. How many screens in the current RSView32 system? One How many PLC s are in the system? How many require RS-485/RS-232 Converters? See specifications and drawings. How many switches are required? Is there a specification on switches?   See specifications and drawings. On the three new devices that are in addition; Is PLC programing required for this? Yes.   What type of PLC and Protocol? See specifications and drawings.   Will new network runs need to be made?    No.   The system is stand alone.   IF so what distance and is their available conduit? Will the PLC programs and RSView32 Project be provided to the winning bidder?   The new system will replace the existing software. What DEQ/EPA permits are needed for this project? None.   We are not changing the size or function of the plant or its components. 9. Once the water treatment system is up and running with the new computer system, what testing is required by DEQ and the VA? Examples (water sampling, having to run the system for so many hours and then sampling, having to run the system so many days and then testing). This would need to be done with 3rd party testing. Or, will the VA do their own testing, with the contractor s support? All testing will be performed by the contractor with the VA verifying quantities and values.  DEQ/EPA does not require testing as long as the plant is shut down during calibration of each device.   In Section 9-a it states Contractor shall provide a system supported by a nationally recognized Primary Control System Company having the ability to provide on-site representation within two hours of receiving notification of system issues This is not a requirement we have seen in the past.   Are you looking for the contractor awarded this bid to be able to be on site within 2 hours or a rep from the Control System Company SCADA system was purchased from? Can this emergency service be handled remotely initially? VA would like the brand of control system to have factory trained representatives within 2 hours of Sheridan.   When it goes down we do not have the luxury of waiting to have water.
