SOLICITATION #36C26219Q1137 QUESTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS 1. Are there any floor plans? Yes. They will be attached to amendment. 2. Are cable call outs available in the floor plans? Yes. 3. Have locations been identified for monitoring? No. Each of the 2 locations will have a monitoring location. A VA directive has been created to provide patient privacy and protection. Monitoring can no longer be available in common areas. 4. What color cable is being requested? Orange 5. During the site walk the end user representative stated that the use of infectious control measures (including containment booths) will not be required for this project. As the area is not occupied, infection control measures (carts, HEPA filters, etc) will NOT be required. Contractors are required to clean up after themselves. 6. Is there a preferred manufacturer for the horizontal cabling system and components? Please see the cabling specifications dated June 2019, and specifically section 2.1-B 7. Can you Please clarify whether horizontal cabling, connectors, patch panels and patch cords should be Cat 6 rated or Cat 6a rated? The Department of Veterans Affairs requires that ALL FUTURE CABLING be CAT6A, and the SOW should be amended to reflect that. CLARIFICATIONS Loma Linda VA Medical Center confirms that cabling should be orange in color is the desired color for copper horizontal cables Loma Linda VA Medical Center confirms that cabling should be orange in color is the desired color for copper patch cables VA will not be providing switches Cameras are for patient monitoring by nurses. No recording or saving -is required. All video will be live feed The primary focus is to capture patient bed NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-AUG-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
