Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), sole source procurement in support of the Salem Veteran Affair Medical Center (VAMC) in accordance with 41 U.S.C. §3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. This procurement consists of maintenance and training on the BD Alaris pump modules. Becton Dickinson Healthcare is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the BD Alaris pump modules. The proposed contract action is for a one (1) year base year plus four (4) option years. NAICS code 811219 and the associated size standard of $20.5 million dollars apply to this procurement. Market research has determined the requested support services are available from a single source without voiding the OEM warranty, or without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of October 1, 2019 to CareFusion Solutions, LLC, 3750 Torrey View Court, San Diego, CA 9213-2635. This announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive quotes. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contract Specialist by 22 August 2019, 12:00 PM EST to Kimberly C. Wilson via e-mail at Kimberly.wilson9@va.gov.Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
