- Description
- The Department of Veterans SAO Central, Network Contracting Office 10, located at 3140 Governor s Place Blvd., Suite 210, Kettering, OH 45409 intends to enter into a sole source purchase order agreement with a large business, Fisher Scientific Company, LLC, 4500 Turnberry Drive, Hanover Park, IL 60133-5491. This is a FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) sole source procurement made under the authority of Other Than Full and Open Competition IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 3304(a)(1). It is the Government s belief the proposed candidate is the exclusive authorized distributor for certain medical products manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 339113 and the Business Size Standard is 750 employees. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available at this time. Interested parties may give written notice to Louann.gilliland@va.gov by 5:00pm e.s.t. on August22, 2019. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
