- The Bureau of Land Management, Anchorage, AK has a requirement for a commercial item or service. This combined synopsis/solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued as a reference only. This posting will be referred to under Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number 140L6319Q0033. This RFQ falls under procedures in FAR Parts 12 and 13. This document incorporates provisions and clauses updated by way of the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2019-04, effective August 7, 2019. This announcement constitutes the Government's only official notice of this procurement. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. Description of Requirements: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Central Yukon Field Office (CYFO) ecology program has implemented a study of to identify the geographic locations and unique geophysical characteristics of naturally occurring mineral sources ( ¿licks ¿) utilized by Dall ¿s sheep. This work has been combined with an investigation of annual, seasonal and diurnal patterns of sheep visitation to these sites. The contractor shall be capable of providing highly-pertinent input and advice specific to the wildlife resource and the region of study. The contractor shall be a highly-regarded, established consulting company (or equivalent) currently staffed with personnel able to achieve all of the work components listed in the Performance Work Statement and provide the region-specific wildlife expertise necessary to positively contribute to the forward progress of this project. The basis for award is Best Value to the government.
