Power Road Suite #103 Mesa, AZ 85212 Description This is a 100% TOTAL SDVOSB (SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE) combined synopsis/solicitation for BRAND NAME OR EQUAL commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation for quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2019-03. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 722514, with a small business size standard of $27.5 million. The Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System s Nutrition and Food Service Department has a BRAND NAME OR EQUAL requirement for three (3) thermal pellet base chargers (or equivalent heating unit) and supporting equipment. This system should heat bases to ensure food is held at proper temperature while serving our Veteran patients. The thermal pellet base chargers will be located in three separate locations on the facility. These units will be used on CLC 1, CLC 2, and the main kitchen serving lines. The thermal heating system must heat at least 20 pellet bases at a time (or equivalent). The system needs to be energy efficient and the unit turns off after a minimum of 60 minutes of inactivity. A charger (or equivalent unit) made of high-grade, durable stainless steel that remains cool to the touch. A heated base, combined with a properly heated ceramic plate, covered with a dome (or equivalent set up) that will hold hot food at safe temperatures 140 degrees Fahrenheit or higher for at least 45 minutes. A Charger unit that has an initial heat up time of at most 4 to 6 minutes. Packaging and Delivery All items shall be shipped to the customer at the following location: Northern Arizona VA Health Care System Attn: Warehouse C/O Nutrition and Food Service 500 Highway 89N Prescott, Arizona 86313 The delivery/task order period of performance is 30 Days ARO FOB DESTINATION. Award shall be made to the quoter whose quotation offers the lowest price. The government will evaluate information based on the following evaluation criteria: 1) meets all salient characteristics and 2) lowest price.
