Description

Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. VHA Reginal Procurement Office (RPO) 2 is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing Trios Move Pen and accessories. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 339114. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and must be received no later than August 23, 2019 @ 3PM EST. Email: LATEISHA.ROBINSON@VA.GOV and Fax: 718-741-4722. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. Please review the attached Statement of Work attached herein. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 339114. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on GSA E-buy website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) Introduction and Overview Trios 3 Move Digital Scanner Background/ Objective The James J. Peters VAMC Dental Program submitted a request for two Trios 3 Move Pen grip EDU Digital Scanners. The digital scanner can provide the following advantages to the dental clinic. Trios has statistically higher accuracy compared with conventional impressions and/or impressions made with other major intraoral scanners for full arch, single unit and multi-unit restorations. It also offers dynamic occlussion to perfect your restorations. Plus TRIOS patient specific motion lets you record a series of different bite positions and highlight occlusal contacts for dynamic patient specific articulation. With their latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that makes scanning easier by removing unnecessary soft tissue as you scan. While it creates high-quality digital impressions in lifelike colors and apply shade measurement to evaluate treatment and activate quality dialogue with patients. Which in turn gives patients a more interactive experience. The digital scanner gives patients a more comfortable experience. Digital scanners reduce the potential for gagging often associated with analog impressions. This is of importance for patients who are at high risk for aspiration of impression material (i.e., neurological deficits, structural defects). When coupled with a 3D printer that can be purchased by the Dental Program at minimal additional cost the need for private laboratory sources to provide dental implant surgical guides is often eliminated. These expensive guides are templates used to direct the precise placement of dental implants. The vendor will provide a one day training to utilize the device properly. Period of Performance/Place of performance The period of performance will begin once the contract is awarded. The Trios 3 will be delivered to the Dental Clinic.
