Description
Solicitation No. 36C247-19-Q-0657 Temporary Lodging (Hoptel) Services AMENDMENT No. 02 Questions and Answers: Question: Do you require any type of transportation for this contract? Answer: There is currently no requirement for any transportation. Question: Are we allowed to split this contract between 2 Hotels? Can one line item be split between 2 Hotels? Can we put half of the line items at one Hotel then the other half at another Hotel? Answer: It is preferred that the primary hotel blocks offer the required rooms daily; the primary hotel can have an overflow hotel as a contingency within the 10-mile radius of the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. The primary hotel is strongly preferred because the VA Medical Center staff will need to provide instructions to the Veteran on were they need to check-in on date of arrival. Question: Do you anticipate handicap accessible rooms being a typical need? If so, how many? Answer: The need for handicap rooms is rare. We may have a need of 2 handicap rooms per month. Question: Will we incur any cost for training, or do you provide all materials / presentations? Answer: The VA does not charge for any training in reference to the Hoptel program. VHA can provide any necessary material or presentations as needed. Question: Page 18/part 6 of the solicitation states that preferred hotel be a three diamond or higher. Is that a preference or a must? Answer: The three diamond is a preference, not required. All Quotes providing two diamond or higher will be considered acceptable and in compliance with solicitation requirement. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (09-AUG-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
