Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Plant Protection Quarantine (PPQ) MFRF located in Edinburg, TX intends to issue a sole source Purchase Order to Molded Fiber Glass Tray Company of Linesville, PA for 4000 (each) custom-designed White Fiberglass Trays. This purchase will be conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). The Molded Fiber Glass Tray Company is the manufacturer and the only authorized source for the purchase of these supplies. These trays were specially designed for the mass rearing of Mexican Fruit Fly Larvae, and the only known manufacturer of this patented design is the Molded Fiberglass Tray Company. The USDA APHIS PPQ Mexican Fruit Fly Rearing Facilities located in Texas, Hawaii, and Guatemala only use this particular tray design. Several thousand of these trays are currently in use and all replacement trays must be of the exact same design and dimensions as the existing stock. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-AUG-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
