DAVIS - Crawler Crane Replacement Solicitation No.: W912BU19Q0014 Set-Aside Code: N/A Response Date: 23 Aug 2019, 13:00 EST The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price contract for a crawler crane assigned to the Columbus Area Office. Its mission is to set and remove stop logs, general support for lock repairs, debris and rock removal, and channel maintenance. Heavy Lift - The crane shall be capable of lifting 90,000 lbs at a 77-ft radius from its axis of rotation using a 180-ft main boom. The hook speed of the main block shall be a minimum 60-ft per minute. Duty Cycle - The crane shall be capable of lifting 50,000lbs (including the attachment) at a 60ft radius from its axis of rotation using a 130-ft boom. The hook speed of the duty cycle attachments shall be a minimum of 60-ft per minute. Its operating area is from its beginning at the junction of the Tombigbee and Black Warrior Rivers, at Mile 217, to its end at the junction of the Tombigbee and Tennessee Rivers, at Mile 450.7. The crawler crane will be utilize safely and efficiently perform all missions associated with navigation maintenance. This acquisition will be made using Request for Quote, a single award will be made as a whole, to the lowest priced, responsive quoter determined to be responsible in accordance with FAR Part 12 Procedures, as a Full and Open procurement. Issue date for this synopsis is August 8, 2019 with a closing date of August 23, 2019. Solicitation will be issued on or about Aug 23, 2019, with a Quote closing date of September 23, 2019, 1:00 PM. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via FBO Internet homepage and hard copies will not be available. All questions will be submitted via e-mail and have the solicitation's number referenced in the subject line. All questions will be sent to: michael.j.kassin@usace.army.mil. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. The solicitation will contain FAR 52.222-38 Compliance with Veterans' Reporting Requirements, therefore contractors who have received a Federal Contract of $100,000.00 or greater, except as waived, must have submitted the preceding fiscal year Federal Contractor Veterans' Employment Report (VETS-100 and/or VETS-100A Report) to be eligible for an award.
