- Description
- The Government currently anticipates a requirement to Repair Roof of Building # 20182 on Chièvres Air Base. The solicitation for this requirement is expected to be released as early as practicable but not later than 10 September, with an award date not later than 30 September 2019. The work performed under this requirement must conform to the Belgian and the European Standards, as identified under the Bureau de Normalisation (NBN) and European Norms (EN). The work shall be desribed in the Statement of Work along with the solicitation and shall be priced according to the following schedule: Item 1. Preparation and protection of the work site - Quanity 1, Unit: Lump Sum; Item 2. Safety measures - Quanity 1, Unit: Lump Sum; Item 3. Dismounting - Quanity 1, Unit: Lump Sum; Item 4. Installation of zinc roof ridge - Quanity 26, Unit: Linear Meter; Item 5. Re-installation of lightning protection system - Quanity 1, Unit: Lump Sum; A site visit will be organized and the date and time specified in the solicitation. SAM Registration:Only offerors who are registered and have an active account in the System for Award Management (SAM) system at the time of the submission of the offer may be awarded a contract as a result of this solicitation. In order to better manage its expenditures, the U.S. Government requires all contractors, foreign, as well as domestic, to input basic company information into a central database. This means all vendors doing business with the Regional Contracting Office - Benelux are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM)database. In order to be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website (https://www.sam.gov/sam/) at the time of the submission of the offer. If the offeror is not yet registered in SAM, the detailed instructions for SAM registration are: Step-1: Obtain a NATO Contractor and Government Entity (NCAGE) Code prior to logging onto the SAM website. NCAGE Codes can be obtained on the following web site: https://eportal.nspa.nato.int/AC135Public/scage/CageList.aspx Step-2 : Obtain a DUNS number by registering at: http://www.dnb.com At this website, you must first pick your country from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner, then pick your language, and follow the directions.(Background information: The U.S. Government system uses the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number as your contractor identification number. This number consists of a nine-digit number assigned to your firm by Dun and Bradstreet Information Services.)
