- This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice only, not a solicitation announcement and should not be considered as such. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for the acquisition of a benchtop processing unit and cables necessary to connect to implanted extraneural electrodes, implanted EMG electrodes, and lab equipment needed for a wide variety of experimental setups. VAMC Cleveland is requesting the R00244 Grapevine Neural Interface Processor (NIP) - 512 Channels. The Research Department at LSVAMC requires benchtop processing unit as well as all associated cabling that is able to interface with the current HAPTIX setup and implants. Must allow for customization to produce the necessary stimulation needed for experiments, and must be compatible with the HAPTIX setup and implants. This request will provide hardware to support an additional benchtop setup plus spare cabling. This requirement is to provide an additional stimulation/recording system to be used in conjunction with implanted leads in upper extremity amputee subjects. The equipment includes; 1- R00244 Grapevine Neural Interface Processor (NIP) - 512 Channels 5 - R00407 Analog I/0 - 5V Analog Input/Output Front End Module 5 - R00591 Digital I/O - LVTTL Digital Input/Output Front End Module 3 - R01129 Double I/O Cable (Micro-D) 4 - R01128 Single I/O Cable (Micro-D) 10 - R02014 Nano2+Stim-HC - 32ch Stim & Record FE (High-Current Protection) 2 - R02242 Double Circular Front End Cable 3 - R03012 Onanon Double Circular Front End Cable 5 - R02008 EMG - 24-bit, 16-pair Differential Recording FE 2 - R00233 Single Bilobe Front End Cable 3 - R03021 Onanon Single Bilobe Front End Cable 1 - R01376 Touchproof Adapter (16-Differential Pairs) 10 - R02483 Adapter - Arbitrary Samtec to Omnetics Ganging Adapter 1 - R02241 Single Circular Front End Cable 2 - R03011 Onanon Single Circular Front End Cable The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is conducting market research to determine if there are a sufficient number of Small Businesses capable of performing the requirements to warrant a set-aside. The proposed solicitation will be to furnish all materials, labor, equipment and transportation required to provide a benchtop processing unit and cables necessary to connect to implanted extraneural electrodes, implanted EMG electrodes, and lab equipment needed for a wide variety of experimental setups to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. Contractor shall also comply with any other federal, state, and local laws applicable to the industry. Potential sources shall demonstrate experience and knowledge of requirement and capability to provide such commodities. Potential sources should submit: business name and address; point of contact; business size, and any applicable business socio-economic category; capability statement; provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature; Recommended alternative product Manufacturer and Part Number; IFUs (Instructions for Use) for alternative recommended products; Literature detailing the specification of any alternative recommended product; DUNS number; contract number if applicable; brochure of equipment. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334510 and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Christopher A.
