Description

I. Introduction: This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought notice only. This is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Regional Procurement Office, Network Contracting Office (NCO)-16 in Houston, Texas is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced and interested potential sources. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be incurred by interested parties in responding to this sources sought announcement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification. NCO-16 is seeking interested sources (contractors) for a near-future solicitation. We are looking for potential contractors to include manufacturers with a socio-economic status of Large, Small, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veterans Owned Small Business. At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. II. Background: The Government requires off-site sterilization services of (dental) critical and semi-critical reusable medical equipment (RME) in support of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), VA Outpatient Clinic located at 690 S. Loop 336 W., Conroe, TX 77304. NAICS: 339114 Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing SIZE STANDARDS: $750K Place of performance: The place of performance for this requirement will be: Off-site Period of Performance (tentative)- option exercisable at the Government s discretion: Base year: October 1, 2019 September 30, 2020 Option Year 1: October 1, 2020 September 30, 2021 Option Year 2: October 1, 2021 September 30, 2022 Option Year 3: October 1, 2022 September 30, 2023 Option Year 4: October 1, 2023 September 30, 2024 III. Requirements: The purpose of this requirement is for the Contractor to provide critical and semi-critical reusable medical equipment (RME)-dental)), off-site sterilization services to include cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of dental instruments (see list of equipment) used at the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Conroe, Texas. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor and material needed to reprocess all instrument sets on a daily basis and arrange with Contracting Officer Representative (COR) two (2) separate times for drop-offs of instruments providing a 24-hour turnaround. Attached you will find a sources sought notice which contains an objective and DRAFT performance work statement for off-site sterilization service of reusable medical equipment (RME)-dental)) maintenance and cleaning.
