- Description
- The United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey has a requirement for Tree Removal services for the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Devens in Devens, MA. The Contractor shall remove trees at six different locations at USAG Fort Devens Reserve Forces Training Area (DRFTA). The work shall include the services described below. Additional clarification/direction may be provided by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Alternate Contracting Officer's Representative (ACOR). The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, management, coordination, and supervision necessary to conduct the work specified herein. All work shall be performed by qualified and appropriately licensed personnel IAW all applicable laws and regulations. The contractor shall ensure that all tree removal work is performed in such a way that no damage to grounds, structures, or other government property occurs. The Contractor shall remove trees from six different locations at DRFTA. All trees to be removed will be marked by the USAG Fort Devens DPW Environmental Division. Only marked trees are to be removed. At all six locations, trees shall be cut so that less than or equal to six inches of stump is left above the ground surface. At all six locations, all wood, bush and chips from removed trees shall be removed from USAG Fort Devens property and disposed of offsite in accordance with (IAW) all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. At certain specified locations, other additional services are required following tree removal. These services are identified by area in TE 1. These service include: a. Grinding of stumps to at least six inches below the ground surface; b. Restoration of lawn by filling with clean screened loam, topping filled areas with at least two inches of top soil, and seeding with a fescue or rye grass blend of seed; and c. Cleaning of underbrush using a forestry mulcher or suitable alternative. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (16-JUL-2019).
