This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources-sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources-sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), HubZone, Small Businesses and Large Businesses interested and capable of providing the supplies described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in enough detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) IF GSA Schedule Contract holder, applicable contract number (i) Type of business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Small Business, HUBZone Business, or Large Business (j) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. The Network Contract Office (NCO) 22 - Gilbert is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Firefighting simulator for the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS). The following items are anticipated to be Brand Name or equal to LION TRAINING PRODUCTS, BULLSEYEDIGITAL FIRE EXTINGUISHER TRAINING SYSTEM ULTIMATE package GSA contract holders please indicate which items can be provided on contract and which items will be provided open market Fire Extinguisher training simulator required salient characteristics: Training simulator must have remote setup capabilities. System must contain a quantity of 2 Digital Laser Fire Extinguishers that simulate Class A/B/C American fuel sources. Training kit must contain a Digital Simulation training panel that has the ability to be remotely programmed with different fire scenarios through the use of a hand-held tablet/device. Entire training kit must be a portable system with industrial carrying cases for all components. Training kit must contain a R.A.C.E. Training system to include a base and Fire Alarm Pull Station that interacts with the simulation panel, digital extinguisher and remote program tablet. (R.A.C.E. stands for Rescue, Alarm, Contain, Extinguish and is a NFPA 101 Life Safety Code term and requirement for completing Fire Drills and Extinguisher training.) Training kit must contain a battery powered and wall powered smoke generation system with additional bottles of smoke liquid refills. Training kit must include a NFPA 10 Fire Extinguisher training DVD. Training kit must include NFPA 10 Fire Extinguisher training record keeping abilities.
