Description
NOTICE: This is a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming acquisition of commercial Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services utilizing the procedures of FAR part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5. This notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This notice is NOT a Request for Quotations (RFQ). Vendors should not submit quotations until the RFQ is posted to this website. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for the information resulting from this posting. SERVICES: Per 38 U.S.C. part 17 the Dept. of Veterans Affairs is responsible for furnishing eligible beneficiaries DME for use in their home or nursing home. The contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, transportation and supplies required to provide delivery, pickup, setup/installation/assembly, reclamation (removal and return), training, storage and repair services for Government owned and Government issued DME for VA Medical Center Beneficiaries within one or more specific Veteran Integrated Services Network (VISN) 15 s eight (8) VA Medical Center systems St. Louis VA Medical Center system is made up of two (2) VAMCs John Cochran (St. Louis, City of) and Jefferson Barracks VAMC (St. Louis, County of) service areas. An indefinite quantity of services will be furnished at such times and in such quantities as required, FOB destination. ACQUISITION: The VA intends to release this as a competitive RFQ on or about August 16, 2019. A single VISN wide solicitation will be issued. The VA anticipates one or more awards that will be by facility or group of facilities. The procurement will be a 100% Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621610 with a size standard of $15 million. Any resultant contract will be effective for a Base Period of performance of one year. Four one-year option periods may be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. Unless additional notice is given, or this notice is modified, the full RFQ will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). All future information regarding this acquisition including amendments will be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
