Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The Army Contracting Command, Tenant Contracting Division, 6565 Surveillance Loop, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846 intends to issue a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) soliciting from a single source. Only one source is capable of providing the second part of a calibration bench upgrade that was originally built by DH in the late 1980s, FLUKE CALIBRATION, 6920 Seaway Boulevard Everett, WA, 98203, USA, CAGE Code is 89536, NAICS Code is 334515, Business Size Standard size is 750, Large Business. The Aberdeen Test Center requires the purchase of the second part of a calibration bench upgrade that was originally built by DH in the late 1980s. Since then, Fluke Calibration has purchased DH and in the early 2000s upgraded the dead-weight tower associating with this calibration bench. This item is the second half of the calibrator that communicates with the dead-weight tower and provides the inputs and feedbacks needed to ensure that proper weights are loaded to generate a calibrated pressure up to 120,000 PSI to the transducers under test, for more detail about this requirement, please look at the Statement of Work (SOW) attached. Also, please see the attachment labeled, "J&A - redacted" for further detail as to why this action is being negotiated solely with Fluke Calibration.
