Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Oklahoma VA Health Care System, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Protein Simple for the Milo System and Starter Package. The Milo System is a Single-Cell Western System to measure cell-to-cell variation in protein expression in heterogeneous cell samples. No other vendors sell an instrument such as this that aims to quantitate the endogenous protein expression of genes that escape X inactivation in specific immune cell populations from male and female SLE-affected and unaffected subjects with and without chromosomal aneuploidies. Milo carries out SDS PAGE and western blot from one single cell, thus giving protein expression data for each single cell (It can analyze about thousand single cells at one time. Milo is the only automated system in the world that can unlock the single-cell proteome and measure more of the proteome than is possible with any other single-cell technique. This is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, July 24th, 12:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-JUL-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
